Integrated energy conversion equipment is a complex mutual coupling multi-energy system including electricity, gas, cooling, and heating. The integrated system can be abstracted into an equivalent model of a multi-input–multi-output dual-port network as shown in Fig. 2.
In the scenario of high penetration level of renewable energy in the distributed generation, BESS plays a key role in the effort to combine a sustainable power supply with a reliable dispatched load. Several power converter topologies can be employed to connect BESS to the grid.
Therefore, in the equipment design, the conversion method of different energy sources must be considered first, and determined the corresponding conversion equipment. At same time, pay attention to the connection characteristics and connection methods between different conversion devices. 3.1.
According to , 2 L and 3 L converters have an energy storage requirement in the dc-link between 2 and 4 J/kVA. Therefore, both 2 L and 3 L presented equal stored energy requirements in the dc-link capacitor around 4000 J. For the inductor, the stored energy is 360 J and 1050 J for 2 L and 3 L, respectively.
For the MMC, 600 V / 10 Ah battery pack is employed. In all cases, the battery packs are arranged to meet 600 V for each converter or cell and total power of 1 MW.
