Timely and accurate monitoring of the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of solar power plants is essential to optimize China's renewable energy power distribution and achieve carbon reduction targets.
Zhejiang has by far the largest solar power capacity of any province or municipality in China. As of May 2022, solar farms in the province had a combined capacity of 42,938 megawatts. Accordingly, this study conducts a quantitative analysis of the land use benefits of PV power stations at the provincial spatial scale in China, aiming to bridge research gap and explore the harmonization and improvement of renewable energy production while realizing land resource value.
