Parameters of photovoltaic panels (PVPs) is necessary for modeling and analysis of solar power systems. The best and the median values of the main 16 parameters among 1300 PVPs were identified. The results obtained help to quickly and visually assess a given PVP (including a new one) in relation to the existing ones.
Solar modules are evaluated in the Renewable Energy Test Center annual PV Module Index. The Renewable Energy Test Center (RETC) released its 2023 PV Module Index report, evaluating the reliability, quality, and performance of solar panels. Solar modules are put through a variety of accelerated stress tests to evaluate these parameters.
The lack of extensive data analysis on existing photovoltaic panels (PVPs) can lead to missed opportunities and benefits when optimizing photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) deployment solutions. The feasibility study of the PVPP requires accurate data on PVPs in order to fully unleash their potential.
Moreover, the data collected is not a random set of PVPs. It is clearly structured rated parameters, selected by manufacturing company, capacity range and production technology. This will make it possible to more effectively see the future directions of research and evaluate the development of solar energy.
The top 14 highest scoring modules scored efficiencies of 20% or more.
