Many countries have experienced a surge in the level of the penetration of solar PV systems in the last decade. A huge portion of the newly deployed PV systems are connected to low voltage Grid. High Penetration of PVs at this level could potentially disrupt the normal operation of distribution network.
Some major standards for PV integration in distribution systems such as IEC 61727, IEEE 1547, and VDE-AR-N4105 are defined and used in to ensure that the power quality and stability defined by grid codes for PV sources connected to the grid are maintained.
Power quality is an essential factor for the reliability of on-grid PV systems and should not be overlooked. This article underlines the power quality concerns, the causes for harmonics from PV, and their mitigation strategies considering the scope of research on the effect of voltage/current harmonics from PV-inverters on the grid.

The research work in the field of investigation of the harmonic behavior of distribution networks with integrated PV panels is divided into two subjects. The first category focuses on modelling the harmonic characteristics of the PV system's inverters and their interaction with the distribution network (site level).
The DG - PV rating power range from 5.0 kW up to 100 MW and for all DG sources as mentioned in Appendix Table 10. With the DGs, the embedded power between DG and the conventional generators is impacted by the power system quality to improve the voltage profile and their stable angle, reactive power, and system reliability.
