Photos is still eating battery life (now averaging 35% background activity)... Very disappointed with Apple, who like Podcasts, have released another truly awful app to its users. Boy, when they use the word "Beta", do they mean it. I didn't sign up for being a guinea pig at risk of damaging my iPhone and my Photo Library.
Tap a bar to see activity and usage by app during that hour or day. To see how long each app has been in use onscreen or in the background, tap Show Activity. Battery usage is unique to each app. Graphically intensive apps, such as apps that stream video from the internet and games, can use a lot of battery.
You can view images even while the battery is charging, by turning the camera on and entering Playback mode. However, you cannot shoot while the battery is charging. Also note that the camera cannot be used unless the battery is in it. Charged batteries gradually lose their charge, even when they are not used.
Battery Status Button – When pressed, the Battery LED momentarily lights up to indicate the remaining battery capacity. The camera can be configured so the Battery LED shows the same operating mode information as the Operation LED. In BUFFERING mode both the Operation and Battery LEDs will blink green, and in EVENT mode both will blink red.
