The older Tile versions do not allow you to replace the battery. This means that you would have to replace the whole darn thing. If you replace them one last time with the newer models, you will merely have to swap out the battery every now and then.
Insert the new battery into the battery compartment with the positive (+) side of the battery visible. Close the battery door, ensuring it is completely sealed. If not sealed, the battery connection and your Tile’s functionality may be affected. Test your new battery by tapping Find on the Tile in the Tile app.
Double-press the button on your Tile to check the battery. If it does not play a tune, the battery may be dead. For Tiles with non-replaceable batteries, it may be time to order a new device. For Tiles with a replaceable battery, the battery will last up to a year. If you need to replace the battery follow the instructions listed below.
