How does a solar fountain work?

Manufacturers of solar fountains such as Powerbee have developed a battery back up system, the battery is stored in a control box, this stores the power from the panel, the pump is then in turn fed power from the control box.

How does a solar pump work?

In most cases the solar panel is usually connected directly to the pump, the solar panel when exposed to light, generates a voltage or electricity, this is then channelled to the pump, through wiring, the pump is submerged in water in a reservoir or pond, inside the pump is a spinning impeller (like a fan blade on an axle).
