There is a module called TP4056 that is capable of charging single Li-ion batteries and also comes with some safety features. Since the battery pack is rated 3.7 volts, I thought I can charge it maybe. But I have also heard problems such as overheating by charging a battery pack by using TP4056. Can I charge my battery pack by using TP4056?
TP4056 charging module is a small size li ion battery charger module. This module uses one IC and few discrete to make a high quality charging module that can provide the required charging procedure to li-ion battery which makes the battery life long and charge it effectively and to its full extent due to which the battery provides its full backup.
Once you have all the necessary components, connect your power source to the TP4056. Make sure to connect it correctly – the “+” side should be connected to the input voltage pin (VIN), and the “-” side should be connected to the ground (GND). Next, connect the battery holder/connector to the battery pins on the TP4056.
The TP4056/TC4056 are great. They are usually set to a 1A charge rate which is perfect for a 6000mAh battery. Since your batteries already have protection, buy the TP4056 versions without the built in battery protection, They are usually set to a 1A charge rate Which is also the maximum it can provide.
The STATpin should be connected to the STAT pin on the TP4056 module, and the Arduino's ground should be connected to the module's GND pin. This circuit features a TP4056 battery charging module connected to a Li-ion 18650 battery for charging and protection purposes.
It can not only charge 18650 cell but a wide variety of different sized and kinds of 3.7V li ion batteries. The heart of the module is a TP4056 IC that is an advanced lithium battery charging IC. The IC is built and internally programed to provide efficient charging to a li ion cell which increases the cell back up and life.
