The value of an AGM is using it in heavily electronic laden vehicles. A good Lead Acid battery will be in the $60 to $120 range. A good AGM battery usually starts around $200 on up. AGM batteries have a different (faster) charging rate than flood acid. They are however more susceptible to overcharging which can damage the battery. The alternator in your vehicle my not charge the battery to the proper rate. AGM batteries also require an external battery charger that is designed to charge AGM batteries.
When it comes to cranking time, a Li battery could provide equivalent performance with a lead-acid battery that has one-third the Ah rating. However, in the low amp sustaining mode, the usable Ah difference between Li and lead acid batteries of the same Ah rating under the same load is small.
LiFePO4 batteries have a relatively constant voltage of 13.2 volts (four 3.3-volt cells) during discharge, while lead acid batteries have a sharper voltage decrease, with a nominal voltage of 12.6 volts (six 2.1-volt cells).
AGM tech was made for high battery stress situations - extreme heat, vibration, impact and/or types of cycling that cause damage (to name a few). If you get more than 3 years on a lead acid, then you don't seem to fall within any of the previous categories and, financially, it makes sense to replace with a lead acid battery.
