The prosperity and development of the raw material trade market are closely related to the driving effect of downstream demand. Secondly, the trade role of countries in the nickel industry chain has a significant cross-influence on the trade price.
The price fluctuation includes the time lag caused by the price transmission between the industrial chains ( Fig. 7 ). Affected by the global economic recession, the development of industries such as stainless steel has slowed down and nickel demand has shrunk. Nickel prices showed a downward trend from 2000 to 2002.
The trade roles of countries participating in the nickel ore and stainless steel trade will change the trade price of this link by influencing supply and demand and then affect the trade price of the whole industry chain through the price pass-through effect.
Trade of all links on the nickel industry chain presents a prosperous trend. The Asian factor has played an important trade role in nickel and its product. The trade role from different links has a cross-influence on trade prices. China, the United States and India have terms of trade that affect prices.
Didenko (2020) believes that nickel prices in the world market are mainly formed under the influence of supply and demand. Previous studies have used econometric methods.
China, India and the United States have a large number of trading partners in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the industrial chain and strong trade stability, which is the key to affecting the price of nickel products.
