The modification strategies in tailoring the separators' properties are discussed. Separators with high-temperature resistivity and better safety are desirable.
This review summarizes and discusses the five types of separators used in rechargeable batteries, namely microporous membranes, non-woven membranes, composite membranes, modified polymer membranes, and solid electrolyte membranes.
